best spot for romantic picnic in paris

Romantic sunset PICNIC at Champs de Mars, in front of the Tour Eiffel
You are welcome to picnic in the parc of the Champs de Mars, just a few steps from #Relais12bis. As in many English parks, picnicking at the Champs de Mars is a popular activity especially during the spring and summer months. Prepare your finger food by shopping around, buying your bread at Poîlane bakery, your chesse by Dubois, your fruits and veggies by Gosselin and your ham or chicken by the next-door butcher. And last but not least, a bottle of Champagne or red wine at Nicolas wine shop.
Have fun and enjoy !

Vibrant shopping session in the Marais or having a drink Place des Vosges ? Both of course !

Restaurant Augustin

Our favorite restaurant – AUGUSTIN Bistro, in the 14th district
A new place that we had the pleasure of discovering early April.
We were appreciated the quality of the generous “bistronomic”cuisine inspired by Corsican flavours. t We love the chic and relaxed atmosphere with neo-bourgeois-50s furnishings and soft lighting.
79, rue Daguerre, Paris 14th – 01 73 20 27 50 – Booking recommended

Tour Eiffel et Champs de mars

Do no miss a daily romantic stroll to the Eiffel Tower at sunset
Staying next door, you sleep under his benevolent wing, but nothing beats a “live” sunset over the Eiffel Tower, which in a few minutes sparkles with thousands of lights. Your dilemna would be to choose between a short stroll in the Champs de Mars allays or sit down on a bench admiring illuminated old lady. A daily recommended action !

Canopée des Halles Paris

The Halles Canopy, a new architectural work has just (re) born
Has a flying saucer landed in Paris? Good question ….
Former tired Forum des Halles, after years of heavy work, gave birth to a brand new constuction called the Canopy. It is certainly not our favorite place, but as a novelty, and driven by curiosity, a detour makes sense. The canopy recalls green, air and light, but here we wonder where they are … and on the top of it is nothing really original or contemporary in the architecture. The yellowish flat dome covers a huge space bathed in daylight (quite a feat we appreciate!), which shelters a shopping center, one of the largest in Europe ….
